Crew ("Crew", "we", "us") is an AI personal-team app. Crew sets up a small team of AI agents ("your crew") that draft and prepare work for you - emails, plans, lists, research - based on a goal you describe. This policy explains what we collect, why, where it is stored, how long we keep it, and the choices you have, including how to delete your account and data.
| Data | What it is | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | From your Apple, Google, or email sign-in | To create and secure your account |
| First name | The name you give during onboarding | To personalize your crew |
| Stated goal | The thing you ask your crew to help with | To configure your crew and produce a first useful output |
| Conversation messages | Your messages and the crew's replies | To carry out tasks and keep continuity |
| Derived memory facts | Short summary facts the crew infers | To remember context so you do not repeat yourself |
| Usage events | Records of actions the crew handled | To show your history and to operate and debug Crew |
| Connected-account access (optional) | Authorization to act in an account you connect (e.g. Gmail drafts) | To prepare drafts in your account when you choose to connect it |
We collect only what is needed to run the assistant. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
You sign in with Apple, Google, or email. We receive a verified account identifier and basic profile information (your email and, where you provide it, your name) to create and secure your account. Your Crew account is keyed to a server-verified user ID; we do not rely on a client-supplied device ID to decide who you are. If you use Sign in with Apple, you may choose to hide your email, and Apple will relay messages through a private address.
To set up your crew and complete tasks, your messages and relevant context are sent to large language model (LLM) providers that process them on our behalf: Google (Gemini) and Groq. These providers process the content to generate a response and act as our processors. Please do not enter information you would not want processed by a third-party AI model. Anything the crew prepares is a draft - nothing is sent, posted, paid, or submitted without your action.
If you choose to connect an external account - for example, Gmail so the crew can draft email in your mailbox - the OAuth authorization and the resulting access tokens are held by Pipedream, our managed connector provider. Crew does not store your long-lived third-party tokens on our own servers; we reference your connection through a per-user identifier mapped to your Crew account. We request the minimum scope needed - for Gmail, the ability to create drafts only, not to send - and any outbound action requires your confirmation. You can disconnect a connected account at any time from Settings, which revokes Crew's access.
Anonymous onboarding conversations are processed to generate replies but are not written to our database; only after you create an account and commit a goal do we persist your goal and related context.
We keep account data, messages, memory facts, and usage events for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to delete your data, we delete it from our database within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records to meet a legal obligation. Disconnecting a connected account removes Crew's access through Pipedream immediately.
You can delete your account from inside the app. Open Settings › Account › Delete account, then confirm. This permanently removes your account and its associated data - your messages, derived memory facts, and usage events - from our database, and revokes any connected-account access held through Pipedream. Deletion is a hard delete, not a disabled flag, and completes within 30 days (most data is removed immediately).
If you cannot reach the in-app control, email privacy@getcrew.xyz and we will delete your account and data on your verified request.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. You can delete your data in-app (Section 7), disconnect any connected account at any time, or contact us at privacy@getcrew.xyz for any access, correction, or deletion request. We respond to verified requests within the timeframe required by applicable law.
We share data only with the providers needed to run Crew, each acting as our processor under its own terms: Vercel (hosting and backend), Supabase (database), Pipedream (managed OAuth and connected accounts), Google (Google sign-in and Gemini processing), Groq (LLM processing), Apple (Sign in with Apple), and Resend (transactional email). We do not sell or rent personal data to third parties.
Crew is not directed to children and is intended for users who can form a binding agreement under applicable law. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We use server-side identity verification, per-user scoped access to data, and managed providers for credentials. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and limit access to what each part of the service needs.
We may update this policy as Crew evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date and, where required, communicated in-app.
